WE TEACH:

We’re not rep counters, and we’re not drill sergeants – we’re teachers. We teach you how to move your body as it was meant to move, we teach you how to eat for optimal health and performance, we teach you how to train so that you can meet your fitness and health goals, and we teach you how to get proper rest and recovery so that you maintain your health.

WE KEEP CLASSES SMALL:

Group training that involves weights and ballistic movements, even with the best coaches, requires careful guidance for safety and proper progression. And that can only be achieved in a small class setting with attentive coaches. Our coach to class member ratio averages 1:8, and no class has more than 15 members at a time.

WE PROGRAM WITH PURPOSE:

While CrossFit workouts are known for their variety, keeping your mind and body engaged and challenged, the workouts should never be random. Our coaching team is educated and well trained – in CrossFit methodology as well as OPT Assessment and Programming. Together, our current coaching team of four holds over 10 training certifications, and is enrolled in continuing education courses during the year. That’s one reason our fitness programs are different- it’s tailored to focus on what our members need to develop and move forward to achieve their goals.

WE BUILD COMMUNITY:

Let’s face it, joining a gym can be intimidating. At CFFW we know each other’s names. We cheer each other on. We hold each other accountable. One of the defining features of CrossFit Fort Wayne is how friendly and connected members are with each other, as well as how connected the coaches are to members. We offer an inclusive, supportive, non-judgmental environment that promotes better long-term results.

WE DON’T BELIEVE IN ONE SIZE FITS ALL:

We serve people of all ages, shapes, sizes, athletic experiences, and goals, and we know that one program does not meet the needs of everyone. Most CrossFit gyms “scale” workouts to meet individual needs, but we take it a step further, providing multiple program options within our group classes. We also offer individualized program design through personal training and exclusive coaching.

WE PROVIDE NUTRITION PROGRAMS:

Many CrossFit gyms only provide members with the occasional yearly Paleo Challenge. While that is a starting point, we’ve learned that everyone’s nutritional needs are different which is why we provide individual nutritional plans for our members. If you’re serious about leaning out, living healthier, or improving your performance, then look no further.

WE ASSESS RATHER THAN GUESS:

Using the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) we help our members quickly identify any imbalances or movement dysfunction before they train. If you train with a baseline of a poor quality of movement and try to perform complex movement (snatch, clean, jerk), the risk for injury is significantly increased.
